I am 100% in favor of you doing this thing. Show programmers both n00b and experienced what you can build.

I want fast, safe code and a big standard library, and I never ever want to think about monad transformer stacks or whatever nonsense y'alls spend your time thinking about.

I was thinking about what kind of nonsense I am willing to put up with, though, and I think it basically boils down to "I'm OK with dealing with the fact that this is an actual physical computer". It seems less arbitrary; there's an artifact that got manufactured, and I'm using it, and it's got limitations. That's OK. As opposed to whatever mathematical type/category business people dreamed up. I'm not sure if this is a common position, but I know it's not universal. Especially given your battle cry of "I hate computers!" -- you're coming at this from the other angle.

It's going to take some HCI, pretty sure. Make something accessible! I'd be happy to help where possible! \m/
